Kimberly Rebovich
Kimberly Rebovich has been associated with publishing for the better part of 20 years. Most of her publishing experience is rooted in her hometown newspaper called The Sunday Dispatch in Pittston, PA. The Dispatch has been a staple of the Greater Pittston community for more than a half centrury, literally a best friend to its readers. Weekly publications have a specific purpose and localized focus. Kimberly served on staff for 11 years and managed for six. As an editor, she directed a staff of writers, photographers and graphic artists and reported to upper level executives within three corporate parent companies. She was fortunate to network on a daily basis with The Dispatch's sister publications in the print industry, The Times Leader, Wilkes-Barre, Pa and three additional weeklies, often sharing resources to bring the Dispatch to press more efficiently. And while the grind of management was mentally rewarding to her, the most enriching part of Kimberly's job was getting to tell the extraordinary stories of ordinary people.
"Everyone has a story or two to tell," said Rebovich. "I have always felt privileged to bring them to life in print."
Personal success also grew from those stories in the form of state writing awards from the Keystone Press Association.
Additionally, she enjoys public speaking and has been called upon for a broad range of local oratorical engagements from honor society banquets to eulogies. Even though publishing is her first love, she loves bringing a message to a crowd in a profound and memorable manner.
For the past six years, she has operated and maintained two local car dealerships and established an independent event planning company, a move she made in the interest of her family. She has also served as a public relations liaison supporting a political campaign for the state legislature.
Kimberly is a summa cum laude graduate of King's College, Wilkes-Barre, PA with a degree in Mass Communications and has resided in Northeastern Pennsylvania her entire life. She is the youngest of two children, is the daughter of exceptional parents who have been married for 43 years, and is a new wife to a wonderful man, Michael. They share a lovely lake home in Bear Creek Twp., PA.
